Legal Framework: Data Protection & Ownership
Without standards and guidelines, the world of eCommerce is chaotic and costly for large organizations. It can open the door to the inadvertent exposure of proprietary information and commercially sensitive trade secrets.
OFS Portal is a recognized leader in Oil & Gas eCommerce by suppliers, operators and procurement platforms alike. We have demonstrated this leadership by developing and implementing a common interoperability model which includes enforcement of proper data protection & ownership and the use of open industry standards in a cost-effective manner.
Since its inception in 2000, OFS Portal has worked to promote safe, trusted standardized exchange practices for eCommerce that lower costs for all participants. The OFS Portal Community consists of some of the largest oilfield suppliers, operators and procurement platforms.
The commitment of OFS Portal’s Members has enabled us to continually grow our reputation as eCommerce thought leaders in the upstream industry. Our management and processes enhance adoption of eCommerce and allow costs savings for all participants.
